No cracks on mine. Both looked great.

Re: New Tour Dates for Classic Petra! - Updated 1/5/12

BTW one of the churches in the bidding was Irving Bible Church, the same church Petra has played at on several occasions throughout their history including the Farewell Tour which just about sold out all 3,500 seats. I saw Petra on the Farewell tour at that church. It was a nice venue and I loved t...

Re: CP Dallas concert cancelled

I'd buy a "World Tour" poster if I could actually see them in concert. I just laughed at this comment. Still have my cancelled Classic Petra tickets. Upsets me to look at them. Went to a concert that wasn't cancelled last night - "The Story" tour. It was a great concert. 3.5 hours long. Some of the...

Re: Classic Petra signs with H2O?

I understand what people are saying about how the band has been marketed, but every bit of the success that Petra had was a building process. Greg Volz era Petra put Petra on the map and opened up doors that allowed John Schlitt era Petra to become what it did. However, that is minor compared to th...

Re: CP Dallas concert cancelled

OK, so since the show got cancelled last night, I watched CITAS DVD and BTTR blu-ray and cranked up my sound system. Looked good on my 55" TV, but still wish I could have seen them live. :)

But, hey, at least I got to "see" Petra last night! I admit it - I don't have a life.

Re: CP Dallas concert cancelled

This is the official reason from the Classic Petra blog: Hey everybody. I know how disappointed you all are. It genuinely hurt to have to post that information. The reason for the cancellations was lack of ticket sales. This was largely due to lack of promotional dollars from the record company. Man...

Re: Republican choice?

Lol. That's why I think Perry is the way to go. He has done a lot of cutting here in Texas; Yes we have some debt, but that is going down, Texas has the largest emergency fund cash on hand, and have a smaller budget then previously. I've always liked Perry, but the dude has got to learn how to deba...

Re: CP Dallas concert cancelled

Actually the promoter for the Dallas show bent over backwards to get this show scheduled and to go, and had some venue options(that included churches) that were willing, but for some reason management wanted a secular theatre type venue. The churches would have been cheaper for fans to attend and a...

Re: CP Dallas concert cancelled

Doing it in a church venue would be a better idea, IMO. There are churches of all sizes in San Antonio (as I'm sure their are in the Metroplex) that would be thrilled to have these guys do a show there. Many of these churches have better setups than the theaters they originally chose, as well. I'll ...

Re: CP Dallas concert cancelled

Just got an email...Classic Petra's concert in Dallas for this coming weekend has been cancelled. Tickets will be refunded. I'm officially bummed. The cp sites says Texas dates cancelled, so that means San Antonio, too. I'm bummed, too, but as I said in a different thread, not one word of advertisi...

Re: John Schlitt To Guest On Beyond The Riff, Sunday Oct.2

The problem is what "goes against the Bible?" And whose interpretation of the Bible are we using? I think any president who would neglect the poor, abandon them to the whims of the free market, cut taxes for the wealthy and allow corporations to abuse the environment is absolutely going against the...

Re: NO DOUBT

I know that for a lot of us No Doubt is not a favorite album, but I was wondering, despite the fake drums and other fake sounds, does anybody like any of the songs from that album? My personal favorite song is We Hold Out Our Hearts To You, in my opinion it is just a great worship song. Enter In is...

Re: who is attending any of the Texas dates?

We are trying to gather up the $90 it will take to get us to go to the Dallas show, just want to know who is planning on being at the Dallas show. According 89.7 Power Rock there are still plenty of seats available about only 300 or so have been sold. I'm going to the San Antonio show, but I can te...

Re: John Schlitt To Guest On Beyond The Riff, Sunday Oct.2

It's kind of funny to me that socialism often has such a negative connotation to it in America. I would think that as Christians we would all stand for a society where opportunities are evenly distributed and given to all. Everybody should have a chance to choose their own path in life and should h...

Re: "The Greater Cause" - John's New CD

John once sang, "As long as I draw breath, my lips will praise You...". Now he still can in a way all of us can enjoy. Thanks Sue and John!
