Re: 40th Anniversary Tour 2013
To be fair, Petra has brought some of this on themselves. If they had done the Farewell show and gone out with a bang (sort of), then I think we'd all be mostly content and happy with the musical legacy they left us. But having spent the past decade more or less trying to recapture their former glo...

Re: Petra Rocks My World?
Hey all, Nothing like responding way too late to an old thread wondering why a website is out of date, right? As noted by preacherman, I have not updated PRMW since the release of CITAS on DVD. During PRMW's heyday (1998-2006), I strove to make it the single-best source of news and discussion about ...

Re: Classic Petra's Facebook
I remember Josh Renaud of Petra Rocks My World, who put up a disclaimer right on his homepage, so all would know that the band was not running the site - it was HIS site. No matter how prominent I made the disclaimer (and it is on every page of the site), it didn't stop the slew of emails from peop...

Who remember Mister Rogers?
I have a great love for Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. This Saturday is "Won't you be my neighbor? Day" where people where sweaters and promote neighborliness. I went ahead and created a Mister Rogers quiz for the website where I work, stltoday.com. Check it out here: http://interact.stltoday.com/blog...

Thanks Josh. I thought you discussed this with us a while back. BTW, I visited your site a few days ago and I found out my account wasn't available anymore. I guess I have to redo it again. Take care. :) I have been having a small but steady stream of spambots registering accounts on the messageboa...

Obviously if you wanted to create a lot of interest you need to get a Petra line up from a popular period; not the last incarnation. This was already established when there was rumors of John, Johnny, Bob, Louie and Ronny. I disagree. I really enjoyed the concerts those last years with Greg and Pau...

VE did not do well compared to a Petra record. It did ok for being all indie with basic grass roots marketing. Way under 10k, maybe way under 5k sounds closer. Maybe Sue knows. They have a bunch of em' left last I heard. J&H did 50k? Really? I would be surprised. I thought Josh from petrarocksmywor...

Re: Brent
Well, the webmaster of that site is Josh Renaud, I have met him in person and all and he is a very serious compromised guy in everything he does. Maybe he hasn`t done much on his site because he has a lot of work and three women to deal with (lol, his wife Yoli and his two daughters). Haha, thanks ...

1. Ska sucks 2. Christian Ska REALLY sucked 3. I am glad it's dead. 4. FIF is dead THANK GOD 5. If you look on that intelligence/music scale, people with little intel like Ska. Sorry. Just the way it is. Yikes, Brent. I always liked to think of myself as somewhat intelligent. I guess now I know bet...

Pieter, I wouldn't have a problem with that if folks here wanted to take your suggestion. The site should be able to handle the traffic. But, yes, as Michael said, I do like SMF. It seems to be secure and patches are issued quickly when holes are discovered. If you want to consider software that wou...

I agree with Josh....Get a Mac! Blah! I have an old OS9.something at work - and it ALWAYS fries out Explorer on me. OS9 is ancient history ... I'm not surprised it gives you trouble. OS X has been the Mac standard since 2001. It runs pretty much flawlessly on my machine at home. Problems have been ...

Re: Fruity
I'd say get a Mac, but I know you don't like them. Then again, they don't usually have D-drives and CD burners dying and viruses infecting them. :) Because hardware failure is the responsibility of the operating system, right? I guess a case could be made for that with Apple, where there is a monop...
