You mean to tell me you're not the least bit curious what a Bob Hartman arrangement of "Christmas Time Is Here" would have sounded like?? Nope, not particularly. I'm tired of Christmas covers. I mean how many times has "Silent Night" been covered over the years? A million? I am not looking forward ...

I, for one, am glad they never did a Christmas album. :) I can't even imagine how goofy it would have been to have all the Petra guys on the album cover with hats and scarfs like that mercyme christmas album that's out right now. :)

For what it's worth, "Petra: Farewell" hasn't been in any of the bulk mail catalogs I've received from Lifeway or Family in the past 2 weeks.

Kirkman on your website review you said... and I also have a rough mix of the album What did you mean by that? Yeah, I got an early version of the album that was a lot more rough than the final one. It included a lot more talking from the band members than what was in the final version. Presumably ...

Very interesting interview at Christianity Today

Check it out here: http://www.christianitytoday.com/music/interviews/2005/petra-1105.html Definitely a good interview with real insights and reflections from John and Bob, rather than the standard stuff. And they also have an album review here: http://www.christianitytoday.com/music/reviews/2005/far...

Re: i

Trent was actually asked to be a permanment member but declined because of family. From what I've gathered, he wanted to join the band but didn't want to commit to the rigerous touring schedule. He basically wanted to be a studio-only band member, which really wouldn't have worked. I could be wrong...

Re: Have A Thankful Heart!

I have had many thoughts on how the Farewell Tour and album could have been planned better. Had the decision been made sooner to do the album, it could have been done with more planning, more former members, a new song or two, and all before the tour actually started. This would have helped both th...

we didn't discover that we were even going to be doing the CD until September I'm really curious about this statement. Petra announced its retirement way back at the beginning of the year, and yet the decision to do a final CD wasn't made until Sept. That makes a lot of sense to me. The live album ...

I remember someone asking Bob Hartman about this some time ago, and he basically said that everything that Petra cared to release is already available on the various albums. There might be a few extant demos floating around but nothing the band really wants to put out in the public. That was me. Bo...

Re: Ugh!!

This shocks me. The Revival numbers were about what I expected, but I thought Jekyll & Hyde would have done at least 10,000 better than Revival. I'm sure sales at their concerts will boost both of those numbers up; especially in Europe. And the 434 Spanish versions.....what is up with that? They ha...

Neilson SoundScan is what you need. Inpop can also tell you what Words sales are. Wayne can tell you. SoundScan reports all to everyone that subscribes. Actually, I have the SoundScan numbers, though I got them through a source without paying for them, and therefore I can't publish them without fea...

Actually it is a CHristian Rock station.

Yes, that's what I meant. I had hoped it was a CCM AC station similar to the ones in my city.

Still, I'm glad anyone is doing a tribute.
