I noticed those lines right away... they may be a "moray pattern." I see this all the time with photos that come in for use on the Milestones page at the Press. The photo itself looks great, but depending on how and what the photo itself is printed on, you may get lines/dots when you scan it. Moray ...

I'm viewing on 800x600 with a 17" monitor, and I too have an annoying 1" scrollbar at the bottom.

These old eyes must stick with the 800x600 res, so don't suggest going smaller! I view that at work, and it's really straining. So far, no glasses, and I want to keep it that way!
