I only know that Chris Bechler, who played drums in the mid-70s after Bill Glover, has passed away, but there's few who actually know he was ever part of Petra. He appears on one promo photo.zman7720000 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 5:43 pmDo we know if there are any past members who have passed away?

It looks like this isn't all the same Keith Edwards, but most of the Jesus music stuff should be this Keith Edwards.

Start with the band members, Dan
If it's done well, this would be a lovely project!

Re: Bride– The Worm
Yes, The Worm is loosely based on Psalm 22. Dale Thompson really likes to write perspective-songs, looking at a certain topic/moment from the perspective of a certain person. This is one of those. He applies the metaphors on Psalm 22 on a person (in some sentences clearly recognisable as Jesus), who...

Re: Petra Compete Tour list - help add missing dates.
You mean this show? 05.09.02 Wustenrot, Germany, Burgfriedenhalle: Himmelfahrt Festival The list on page 1 of this topic gives a show in Den Haag, Netherlands on that date. That should be fixed. They might have been at the Himmelfahrt Festival. In 2003 they also had a Mai-Day/Himmelfahrt Festival c...

What's your source for the 9 May 2002 show in The Hague? I don't think that ever happened.

Re: Greg on Coloring Song
Killing My Old Man was recorded for Come And Join Us. It even made it to the test pressing, but as has been said before was ditched by label executives (including Paul Baker) who were afraid of the song being misunderstood. Even the band's request to then record a live version with an intro speech d...

Re: Star Song Greatest hits releases
Let's not forget "War and Remembrance." Petra Means Rock mentions the original mastering credits per albums, so definitely not remastered. War & Remembrance doesn't have any mastering specifics mentioned, so I think it's unlikely that the songs on there were remastered. The Early Years also doesn't...

Re: New Petra Project
Both albums are CDr productions and were only available for a very short time.
As far as I know, it's the same music. The second one is remastered and has 10 minutes of band chat. I don't think it was remixed or anything like that.

No, the little bit on youtube is everything from the Awards show with Petra.
WUC and ND video material is hard to find. I have a couple of audio shows, but hardly any video.

Re: Star Song Greatest hits releases
Petrafied, Petraphonic, Power Praise and Rock Block have mastering credits. Petrafied was mastered by Tom Baker at Future Disc, the other three by Hank Williams at Master Mix. Most of the original Star Song albums were mastered by Steve Hall. So, yes, remastered, but it doesn't state whether they we...

I've had this for years: http://petraspective.nl/bootlegs/index.html
It originally was part of a 2-hour tv-broadcast, so this is all there is.
BTW, I haven't updated this list for years.

His site is still up: http://bobhartmanguitars.com/, but I'm not sure if he's actually still building guitars.
