Well I hope you enjoy them. It's kinda hard to describe Servant. The stuff you grabbed is pretty much a good representation of their work. I've always liked sandy brock's voice. A book I have describes their last few albums as "new wavish". Whatever that means. I suppose they are referring to the ad...

 Love the purple outfits...

Did not realize that the KISS version of GGRRTY was part of the Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey soundtrack. Although I do remember them using the song in the movie. Most Excellent!

If that means more older tunes available online, well....... Anyways it's an odd quandrum. I like having an original CD but I cannot deny the fact that after an initial listen I usually pop it into my computer and load it onto my ipod. The CD then just sits on a shelf. But in my case it's more a pre...

Anyone have a clue what stations this is supposed to be aired on? The web page says diddly squat. Did anyone catch a taping of this? It'd be a shame to see a piece of history like that get lost.

I managed to find some more info here. Seems the video is still in the editing process.

L: Why Stanly O' chap, did you bring those rock and roll tapes that I requested? S: Yes I did Doctor, I brought some Resurrection Band . L: Capitol! I was Awaitin...

Steve Camp and Rob Frazier wrote alot of stuff together. So I would not be surprised if he was around during the time of "Come and Join Us". Steve Camp was groomed by Larry Norman (so to speak) and was close friends with Keith Green. Well I'm kinda posting off the top of my head right now (don't hav...

With a new artist, maybe. But Kevin has been around a while and has his fans (I'm guessing). So they probably understand his particular brand of writing. Anyways... I know what you mean, but I think that era of christian music is mostly gone. Record companies have changed hands so much it's ri...

Bluesy pop rock? I would say somewhere between petra's pop and rock stuff. Although some of their songs are a little on the silly side (satire). All the way up to Light Manuevers which is probably their rockiest (is that a word?) album. Swimming In A Human Ocean tends to lean more towards the Caught...

Is that the same stryper one you made available as a torrent file some time ago? The one that the audio freaks out periodically?

Just curious if I missed something. Don't they have a DVD coming out soon?

I dunno... I think except for a couple small 2-3 year periods things were pretty much always uphill for petra anyways. Rock is something that ALWAYS been pretty much unaccepted by the christian community in general. There was alot going on at the time of No Doubt/Wake Up Call. Ownership changes, new...

I think I was around 12-13 my sister and her friend were listening to this "christian" band named petra. At the time I hated it cause I was kinda taught (being a new christian) that rock -n- roll music was bad, bad, bad...

I eventually wised up and started listening to them.

In the last chorus they have a whole group of celebrities singing the chorus. I think steve wrote that he got in big trouble with the industry for that song, or was it the churches? I'd have to check. Ok in the liner notest for the steve camp collection he says that during the Gospel Music Associati...
