Re: The Bible Mini Series
Yeah, I remember the movie years years ago about Noah's Ark that had people from Noah's time interacting with people from Abraham's time. I also felt that one was really trying to discredit the Bible in general. It was horrible. This new one certainly has it's inaccuracies as you mentioned, but I've...

Re: The Bible Mini Series
Yeah, my biggest complaint I guess would boil down to some of the parts and details that were left out, but I realize it's hard to cram everything into a ten hour mini series. The ninja angels were certainly something to see.

Re: Johns Petra 13 years ago.
I really didn't like this version of Petra, John was in fine form, but Pete was such a sloppy player.

Re: Godfixation
Well, it's all a matter of opinion. I happen to think it was a pretty decent song, unlike the rest of the album. Now that sucked.

Yep, the Pete Orta song was Breathe In not The Longing.

Yeah, I spaced out Back to the Rock. It is pretty cool cover. Definitely the coolest cover since This Means War.

Re: Godfixation
The only song on Double Take worth the time it took to record it was The Longing.

Wow! That shows you how different taste can be. I thought Redemption was their worst album. I remember only liking one song off of it and it's the only album of theirs I'm pretty sure I don't even have anymore.

Re: TOP 5 & BOTTOM 5 PETRA ALBUM COVERS
My favorite covers would all come from the older albums, pre Beat the System, with More Power to Ya easily taking the top spot. The lone exception to that rule would be This Means War, which I would probably rate as the second best Petra cover of all time. By and large their album covers after TMW h...

Re: Godfixation
How about we all just invent our own individual albums? Would be interesting to hear what songs everybody would pick from those albums to make up one album with say 10 to 12 songs. Here's how mine would shape up Enter In Heart of a Hero More Than a Thousand Words No Doubt Be of Good Cheer Lord, I Li...

Re: Godfixation
If you were to piece together all the best moments from all the albums that came out between Wake Up Call and Jekyll and Hyde, you probably come up with enough material for one good album. So there you go, invent your own album.

Re: John's newsletter: some surprises in store
Whiteheart had some great songs, but unfortunately, they were just more hit and miss with their material than Petra. A typical Whiteheart album might have a few good songs on it, but most Petra albums were all good.

Re: John's newsletter: some surprises in store
If John does a Christmas album and the songs don't rock, there's no way I'll be getting it. To me, getting some John sung rocking Christmas tunes would be the whole the point.
