Re: Petra collection
I gave up my vinyl and cassette collection when CD gained prominence, so some of these albums I have purchased more than once over the years. To that end, I have every Petra album on CD minus the self-titled, and Come and Join Us , both of which I own as FLAC downloads. For Volz's solo albums, I hav...

Re: TUOSS new project soon!
Well, it's about time!
At this point, I have to assume the official Union of Sinners and Saints website has been abandoned since it's still advertising their 2019 tour.

Re: Which albums actually feature Louie's drumming?
Producers have their favorite session musicians, and as I understand it, Chris McHugh is one of Brown Bannister's go to guys. According to Wikipedia, McHugh is a Nashville A lister and has recorded and toured with some of the biggest acts in the Christian and secular music industry. I don't know wha...

Re: Which albums actually feature Louie's drumming?
If I'm understanding you correctly, Louie is actually on the albums a lot more than I realized. For a long time, I just assumed the drums on the E Bros. records were 100% samples because they have an artificial tone to them whereas the JDB albums and Wake Up Call produced by Brown Bannister are unmi...

Re: Which albums actually feature Louie's drumming?
I'm still not clear on the exact recording process. John Lawry and the Elefante Bros. would create the drum part using samples and drum machines, and then Louie would play over the top of it in order to give it a little more punch? Or his drums would completely replace what Lawry and the E Bros. had...

Re: Christian Bands and Their Secular Counterparts 2.0
The new Def Leppard album, Diamond Star Halos (released today), reminds me a lot of the self-titled Union of Sinners and Saints debut.

Re: We are the broken TUOSS
Are we ever getting a new album from these guys, or is it just going to be these one-offs? It seems their official website hasn't been updated since 2019 when they were promoting the StoryTeller Tour.

Which albums actually feature Louie's drumming?
I've been trying to figure out which of Petra's albums feature recordings of Louie's drums, as in microphones picking up the actual sound of Louie's sticks hitting the drum heads. Captured in Time and Space is an obvious one. I'm pretty sure Wake Up Call is another. I remember him being excited abou...

Re: Remastered albums
I can't say I've ever noticed any clipped audio for all the years I've been listening to the CD version of On Fire! . I guess it’s only an issue if you’re ripping the CD, not when you’re just listening straight through. Suppose it depends on how you rip it. I use lossless FLAC these days which play...

The post you're replying to is nearly a decade old, and the guy who posted hasn't been active here for about as long.

Re: Christian songs and their secular counterparts
I've heard people say that "I Am On The Rock" sounds like "Pour Some Sugar On Me", but I honestly don't hear it. Besides being anthemic rock, they're really not that similar.
