Peter Furler was drummer while James Earle Jones sang lead. All the way up to "Stepping Up To The Microphone" in which the Earle left and Peter Furler took lead vocals. Errr, you mean "John James." --Josh BTW - I reviewed a Newsboys concert for my college paper during the Love Liberty Disco tour, w...

Re: Petra on the news

Sunday night.....Channel 5....10:30pm "Sports Plus" I am getting things ready for work on Monday and have the TV on the above channel/show. The station intro's the St. Louis Cardinal segment and the intro music sounds very familiar. I watch the sports yesterday to verify what I thought I heard........

The album is called "Welcome to the Revolution" and it also has a song sung by Greg X. Volz. Honestly, I think WTTR was overall a weak album. But the new LNJ album that just came out is a huge improvement, with a big sound and consistent production all the way through. It's called "Soundtrack of a S...

When you say "not many" you are saying to me, "not many people I know." Because there are people using the internet, like I said yetarerday, way over 34 million people on the internet there. Of course there are people using the internet. But HOW are they using it? Most of them get it through public...

Re: You are right!

I was mistake and owe you an apology Jonahan, after 30 mins of searching I confused you with Kirkman, he thought the pick guard idea I had for Farewell was a stupid idea!! BEAK As Jonathan pointed out above, I didn't say it was a "stupid" idea. I said it was unoriginal. My preference for "Farewell"...

that the same amount of time being devoted to the president of Inpop as there was additional Petra footage is wrong There's about 23 minutes of additional Petra footage and 5 minutes of Furler footage. That's not the same amount. But I maintain Petra, as an importance piece of Christian music (and ...

Re: What was all the fuss?

After watching it I'm wondering what all the complaints were regarding quality. (snip) I guess it goes to show you that sometimes we should wait until something comes out and reserve judgement. Your last sentence is spot-on. The fuss was caused by people who had NOT seen the DVD shredding it to pie...

It's obviously unfair of me to start criticizing the editing of the DVD until I've actually seen it. All I know for sure is that I wasn't impressed with the editing in the preview clip which tended to obscure the band rather than showcase them. But I guess I'll just have to wait and see how the who...

I agree wholeheartedly with Winterlens' previous post. Where did all the new songs that they were loaded with go during this time period? Were they too busy? Where are the new songs? Where did you get this impression that they were "loaded with songs?" 2004 was a year with a pretty solid amount of t...

But going back to the inpop issue. When J&H came out there was all this talk about how Petra was just bursting with new songs to write (J&H is their shortest album BTW). I just wanna know who's idea it was to do "Jeckyl & Hide" in spanish. Comeone guys.. really. Your first album attempt to get your...
