Wow, had a good old laugh at that one! Sounds like Louie, that's for sure... I love hearing old stories from the band, like the one Bob told once about the stage collapsing at a Petra concert! For me, those stories are priceless!

"Pethead" is not a title. It's a way of life.

After watching that video, I can see why he threw it away. Poor editing, no real storyline or plot whatsoever. It was good to see some footage of the guys in the band from that era though.

Lots of problems with that film.

Just listened to the interview. That's a funny story. I can sort of see what they mean. I knew the band wasn't happy at all with this video. That's probably why it wasn't released to the public till 1990 on the Ultimate Rock VHS.

I always thought this was a great video with excellent production. It is actually my favorite Petra Music Video, specially with Bob playing the blue Zion Powerglide Guitar, sweet!!!

Hey Sue, I did buy the Back to the Street DVD and it arrived last week. I really enjoyed it and had some good laughs too. Hilarious the difference between how the guys made their beds. What really impressed me, was the care the Elefante brothers took to ensure every word, phrase, etc. sounded the absolute best. To boot, they were very good about it, even though something didn't sound right, they just kept working at it. Never insulting anyone or making anyone feel bad. Best kind of people to work with.

I have always thought that BTTS was a very underrated album. While its not my favorite of their albums, it has some fantastic writing, and overall great work. Really, with a new singer (at the time) they were in a way, a new band with a new sound.

Love the work John is doing and wish him the best. Looking forward to buying his new album when it is released.

Ryan.

To me BTTS has the promise of things to come, in an excelent way. It has some of my favorite Petra tunes, and it sounds very clear compared to other Elefante borthers Petra albums. You can hear every instrument separate and clear. The drums sound more natural than in BB, UP, TMW and OF. Also, it rocks!! BTTS, AE, RFC, AC, YAIA, STH, are all incredible rockers, and Bob's guitar has a modern tone with a little Flanger mixed in that sounds fantastic! I know John sounds different here from the other records since he was finding "his voice" on this one, but you can hear his "sweet" range on this record on songs like YAIA and AE, he just goes as high that it makes you think he in the the dog range of hearing, and his voice does not sound as proccessed as in TMW. Amazing!!!

I too always felt like BTTS was way underated; it set the tone for what was to come. When it came out I was really hoping for a departure from BTS because BTS was a good album, but for me got very stale very quickly.
Shakin' The House is one of John's greatest moments.

I really like the parts of the WW video where it's showing the band. The rest of it....not so much. It would've been better to just show the band the whole time. I love the BTTS DVD!

Don't you think it's strange that they are playing in a parking deck just for themselves? Is that their rehearsal hall or what? But I guess that's the case for most music videos...
