My kids say way too much. I try to tell them I am the mom and what I say goes. Well they all go get there head phone and turn theres up.

But mine is louder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Pethead parrott loves it. Whe I leve the house I have to put it on. I will have to make a movie of him dancing and singing to J&H. It is so funny watching a bird head bang to Petra.

I haven't listened to Jekyll and Hyde for about ...hmm... 5-6 months at least? I listen to real metal now...Tourniquet, Deliverance, Mortification... although I do still like Petra, they are not my sole favorite band anymore. LOL JaH is just far too overproduced, lacks that live feel, has no solos, etc...but hey the hooks are great! ;)

still every other day or two

Post by Tobes » Wed Sep 01, 2004 11:12 pm

I've had JAH since the day it came out on CD, listened to it every day for a few months, and I still listen to a couple of songs every other day or so. My 6-year-old daughter's favorite song is the title track -- every time we get in the car, she wants to hear it. :)

I also sent a copy to my best buddy from college, who is unsaved and lives in Austin, Texas. He is a bit of a musical connoisseur and he gave JAH very high marks. Back in college he even made a best-of tape from my Petra collection at the time (which back then ran up through Unseen Power , c. 1991). Somehow, someway, he's going to get the Message that Jesus is Lord if I have to beat it through his eardrums... ;)

How often

We've been listening to it in the car a little lately, but I listen to such a variety of music... and I kind of get on "kicks" sometimes, and sometimes I get a new CD... lately I've been listening to the Paul Wright EP (the rapper who plays Agent Hunter in !Hero), a re-release of an album Mylon LeFevre made back in the 70's before he got saved, a compilation of Spike Jones songs and a compilation of songs from Sesame Street (I have a 4-year-old, remember? hehe) Cat's a lot more "faithful" of a Petra listener than I am, although every once in a while I'll listen to some Petra. I have all their CDs scanned into my computer at work, and not too long ago I put that playlist (all the songs) on Random and listened to some interesting stuff. It's weird how things fall sometimes... it randomly chose "Grave Robber" twice in a row, once with Greg X. singing it on CITS and once with John Schlitt singing it on that acoustic radio performance. (back-to-back, the Greg one is noticeably better, but that's understandable since we're talking a coluseum setting vs. a booth at a radio station!)

I have probably listened to J&H more than any CD I have ever owned. Songs 1-6 are about as good as it gets as far as I'm concerned. My 14 year old daughter likes it too.
Also been listening to my two Kutless CD's a lot lately.

There for a while JAH was all I listened to. It was so nice to have something new from PETRA and specially last year it was great to jam to as we were driving. Since then I listen to it every once in a while, I also get on kicks and - lately I've listened more to my own CD's to work on the songs for concerts and stuff and as we travel we've been listening more to the radio catching AFR stations.........
Hmmm.......actually I'm kinda in the mood for JAH again....I think I'll put that back in the CD player in the truck.
