Tour On DVD or Live CD or Both

Post by PetfanInCt » Sat Sep 18, 2004 4:09 pm

Hey Everyone

I live in Connecticut there is like nothing happening here. We dont get hardly any concerts herre and when we do its so very small in venue and its not advertised...

Its getting to look like I will never see Petra in concert. I certainly do not think theres going to be a chance of them coming up this way. Will they ever put a tour on DVD it woulld be cool if they put the latest tour on DVD and how about another live CD. Its the closest thing this Pethead will be to seeing them or hearing them in concert.

In Christ

Thinking if I could see I would believe, then somebody said Believe and you will see.

Well, they may not be coming to Connecticut, but if you're willing to drive a little bit, you can see them in Maryland in November.

Make it into a mini-vacation and stay overnight. My wife and I take trips like that frequently. We did it for the Petra reunion concert, which was like 5-6 hours away from our house.

Live DVD

Hi Rich... I agree with Josh. Keep an eye on the concert dates and something may well fall within what you would consider striking distance. We drove yesterday to pay $15 a pop to hear a 30-minute set of Petra, and I would do it again in a minute! (There were other bands too, of course... I think $15 for JUST 30 minutes of Petra would be a tad steep...) I'd love to see a live performance on DVD, but I'd say at this point from what I've heard from various people, both here on the Zone and elsewhere: I wouldn't hold my breath. Live albums aren't generally moneymakers, and although I could see a fan sort of release of a live concert on DVD being a cool thing, I doubt it'll happen any time soon. Better to take a mini-vacation and hear them live yourself!

Oh man, they ROCKED Shoutfest in Kansas!
