Glad I didn't have to hit you with the Frying Pan of Subtlety.

JESUS IS FOR LOSERS ia song from the early ninties, Steve Taylor sang it. I remember it about the same time as BANNERMAN.
Jesus is for Losers is a play off of scripture.
see Matthew 10:39
Matthew 16:25
Mark 8:35
Luke 9:24
Luke 17:33
Its about losing your life, to gain eternal life, JESUS IS FOR LOSERS!
Enjoy looking them up. Those are the kind of songs that have real depth.

My name is John Popyk. I live in Ann Arbor, MI. I have been a big Petra fan since 1983. I was 19 years. I was introduced to Petra by someone giving me a cassette of More Power to Ya. I am 41 years old now. And even though Petra is retiring they will always be my favorite band of all time.

Hey, John...I'm a little younger to you but it was my cousin introducing me to Petra through More Power To Ya that began my lifelong love of the band. And it got me thinking, with so many Petheads of varying ages here, can someone direct me to posts here at the Zone with threads of members sharing the very FIRST Petra LP/CD they heard and its impact ...or if not that, then care to share their first experience with a Petra song/LP/CD?
