1. This is not the forum for this, but I can help. Alan, my partner sends all CDs out the same day that the money arrives at the Tulsa office.

2. Alan sent a reply to your first email today. We need to know where you sent you your check.

3. Did you opt for notification of receipt at the post office? Whose name signed for the check? You should have kept a receipt for the money order. You can call the issuing bank and verify that it is not cashed. We want to eliminate the possibility of theft or fraud.

4. Please email Alan your address. We have not received it as of 10:50 PM, Oct 4th. He will send out your CD, and a comp CD to hand out to a friend. We will do this for the inconvenience.

Did anyone else think PDC was really.....I want to say lame, but i'm not trying to be mean. John's voice just didn't go well with the music. I mean, John is fine, but the music sounds......extremely dated, like Louie's new band. It kinda sounds like someone dubbed John's voice onto a cheap recording of some cover band. Like a band trying to write modern sounding songs, not realizing their stuck in an 80's metality. I'm not just saying that cause it's not Petra. I'm very open minded.....that just kinda seemed like an inferior project for John. Wow, ok that came out meaner than I meant it to be. I'm sorry, I just had high hopes for it and was kinda dissapointed when I heard it.

Has anyone else heard it? What do YOU think of it??? BE HONEST!

I liked the clips I heard on the website and have ordered it thru my Christian bookstore I frequent in Owen Sound, Ontario.
I am anxiously awaiting it. CMC Distribution is getting it for me apparently.

There was a thread on here with the web address to hear the clips but I can't seem to find it. Does anyone have the link?

I'm sorry to say, but I support Tim's views. I've tried to dig into PDC, but it just seems like John's voice doesn't fit with the music. The artwork however is very nice.

Well folks, God gave us individual tastes thank goodness.

If you read our bio, you guys described what happened. We modernized some of our songs from the 80s. We brought in some young guys and told them to change away, but not too much, because the melody had to remain the same.

John was not our first choice. We wanted to use our original vocalist, Wayne Howard, but we could not. When John heard Wayne's voice, he said, and I quote: "What do you guys need me for? This guy sounds great!" So John was a champ, nailing all of the songs in two days.

If we would have made it correctly, as in taken more time with John, then we would have not had a product that could bear it's name, or be the story of one shoe dropping after the other.

We did remix and master the CD for our foriegn customers. It does sound bigger and badder, if that is a word. We had our first batch of 5,000 discs pressed at Discmakers. They were told not to touch the master. It was ultra compressed, which completely masked tone and detail. We were sick for days. So I went the pain of doing it again.

Like it or not, take it ir leave it. We didn't originally intend on selling one disc. As it turns out, things just happened and we are one one heck of a ride, and don't know where it will go next.

Ok, I know that I said that I wasn't posting any longer here, but my partner and friend told me that a question came up about PDC.

Yes we have been distributed in Australia/New Zealand (as well as the rest of the world beyond the USA) by GoGlobal Entertainment. Contact your local Christian outlets. We are in their distributor catalogs inventories. We have been selling units to those countries from websites, including our own. In fact, Australia has been very kind to us.

Thanks!

Brent, How many units have you sold?

......and why aren't you posting here anymore? I didn't see you say that anywhere?

BTW, I like my PDC CD. It was excactly as described on your site. I'm an 80's guy so an upgraded 80's sound IS my cup of tea.

I'll miss not having you around if you stop posting!!!!!!

PDC and Brent, Over and Out

Post by brent » Wed Nov 09, 2005 10:32 am

The statement about not posting was made in the Louie/BTTS thread. I am just to busy now, with productions, rehearsals, radio spots, etc to keep up. I didn't want anyone to send an IM and get bent when they do not see a reply. Some of you guys talk to me off-line, so you have my email and Yahoo Messenger info.

I cannot divulge the numbers, because I do not count sales, until we have been paid for every disc. Many, many artists go Gold or Platinum, but that is on initial shipments, not the actual monies paid. For instance, Def Lepard was stripped of their platinum status, because 80% of their shipments were returned.

Let's just say that we US sales are pretty much done, unless we get a winning lottery ticket. The foreign markets are doing better than the US, which we knew would happen. We dropped in 5 new countries in September, and will be in Europe in Jan 06. We are considering a new DSP package via GoGlobal, which would elevate sales in the foreign market (we hope). We have remixed and remastered the foriegn discs. They sound mucho better, and have some added tracks, including original tracks (pre Louie and John). In Africa we are on cassette. Bootlegging is crazy. We have thousands of copies floating around in foreign markets, and have busted them when selling them online. If you want to see Brent mad, push that button.

Here are a few of the websites that product is available, or we have press, or there is some cross polination into a Petra article (not by us!):
