I'm really curious about this statement. Petra announced its retirement way back at the beginning of the year, and yet the decision to do a final CD wasn't made until Sept.

That makes a lot of sense to me. The live album was John's idea, wasn't it? So they didn't plan it months in advance, instead it was a spur-of-the-moment thing that they had to accomplish before Petra was no more.

Let me tell you, as one who is in the freight logistics business, there's a ton of planning and work involved in even the smallest sample distribution. I can only imagine what it's like for a company as small as Inpop to plan and execute something like this with little advance planning.

GOT MY STUFF! Not much, but I got it. Some flats, and little like thank you cards with a $2.00 off coupon on it. It has a note from Petra on it, with all of their signatures (Imprinted of course)

It also has a linkl to go to to download a preview of a song....I thought COOL! Went there...NOTHING!!!!

I hope they add the song they are saying is already there soon as well. I hate to give these cards out knowing they are false.

We were originally just going to put up a song from the album, but since then we have decided to go with the 9 minute video spot. Because we changed plans, it's not up yet... but it WILL be online on Monday.

Just to clarify a point here: Petra's announcement was made near the end of May, which is almost summer.

Also, consider that when the news was made public, the record company was caught totally off-guard and that they *had* been trying to develop a new album with Petra prior to that.

There had to be some intense back and forth between the band and the label after their decision became public.

Frankly, I am amazed they turned this whole thing around so fast.
