Has anyone seen an official track listing yet for the DVD? Someone posted previously about it (not sure where) a while back, and it listed all the songs, including Judas Kiss and Lord I Lift Your Name on High, but it didn't include the solos or the I'm a C-H song.

By some miracle, Hastings actually has the DVD listed already, and the track listing they give, is the same as above, with no solos listed.

I hope the solos are on the DVD, and I hope they are shown in their entirety. If not, I'm still buying the DVD, and I'm sure I will more than enjoy it.

InPopShara, do you have any info that you can share with us at this time?

I keep wondering if ANYONE is ever going to let us see the track list. It's got to be final by now in order to release that soon, but so far no site that I know of has it posted.

Having worked for this company before, I'm never surprised by anything by them any more.

Look at the note under 2.

I don't know where they get their information.

Has anyone seen an official list yet for this DVD? It comes out in 4 weeks. Maybe this time they're trying to surprise us with something by not releasing it yet.

agreement

Well, how about that. It agrees with the Hastings list. CMC is usually VERY reliable, although Hastings is often off by a mile (that list for the upcoming DVD is AWFUL!) I'm satisfied that we have the final list. There must be an interesting reason why those last three songs are included WAY out of chronological order!

If this is the song list for the 33 song Double CD; I will be very disappointed. I am finding it hard to believe that Bob would be picking all those ballads(12 to be exact). If that is the track list I know I won't be buying it. Alot of those songs picked are the lesser/filler songs on the albums.

Actually, nearly half of them (15, if my info is correct) were #1 radio hits, and others were on the radio. I'm thinking those are songs that (1) are very well-known, or (2) have personal sentimental value for Bob, or (3) provide some kind of historical perspective for Petra. Many of them are songs that Petra is even now still playing in concert. But I doubt anyone here will buy it to listen to it, anyway... it will be strictly a collector thing, I think.

I personally think it's a pretty good mix. If you go to http://guidetopetra.com/ghits.html#TUC you can click on "Play all 33 clips" to get a snip of each song... gives you a vague idea of what it might be like to listen to the CDs.

Thanks Michael - i like the way you have the sound clips up so you can listen to the lot :) Well done.

Im actually really looking forward to this 2CD compilation as my wife has only really come on board and been a Petra fan with "JAH" album and now "Farewell" - and it will be so good for her to hear all the original versions of those songs on one historical recording set (and besides all my original petra CDs are back home at my folks house over 2000km away)

I just want some more rockers to go on there. I know someone has brought this up but what is up with the last three tracks? I'll be shocked if Bob was actually the one picking these tracks.

Yeah like I said as well. I can think of far better songs from the pre "more power to ya" era. But then I also see the historical significance of the songs that were picked.

Unfortunately back then the only songs accepted by christian radio, were well uh, christian ballads!!
