Back To The Street

Can anyone tell me WHY "Get on Your Knees" makes this list? I never figured out why that one made it on all the Starsong collections (which seem to be the same collection re-packaged eight times) but "This Means War" never did.

Star Song no longer exists. EMI owns all of the Petra Star Song stuff. Songs can be leased from a catalog owner, such as Word. Word may have sold their catalog to EMI as well. Have to snoop around.

That is NOT the CD cover! That was a CD put out years back that was in a series I believe called early years or something like that.

I could be wrong but I believe EMI holds all the rights to Petra's recordings with Bob's permission they can put all the songs together. Edward will be able to enlighten us more than me though.

BTW within 2-3 years I guarntee that we will see all of Petra's videos out on DVD including CITAS.

This is NOT the song list for the new Ultimate Collection. As of yet I don't think we have seen a printed version of the song list yet.

OOOOOOOOHHHHH yeah, with some bull crap about the video master being found, or, thanks to modern technology, we have assembled it again. Yeah. I think that you are right. If EMI can make money at it, they will. Good call.

You are mistaken, executioner. The cover for "The Early Years" is slightly different:

Petra: The Early Years

More strange facts:
- This CD seems to have disappeared from ChristianBook.com this weekend.
- It is apparently part of a series of "Ultimate Collection" CDs (like the "Early Years" ones) that include CDs from Newsboys, Phillips Craig & Dean, Steve Taylor, Keith Green, and (according to the emicmg site) Steve Green, not to mention an "Ultimate Love Songs" CD to rake in the bux in February. :)

Oh so I'm totally wrong because they are slightly different, tough crowd here. What has happen with Bob picking all the songs and doing the notes for the songs?

Actually, you ARE totally wrong:

That actually IS the CD cover. That CD was NOT put out years back... it's a new collection. The Early Years was different. It only had ten songs (this one will reportedly have 33). Just because it's the same old photo of Petra from the Back to the Street days doesn't mean it's actually the same CD. :)

I have had communication with Word in the past. What they do is lease the songs out to other labels. So EMI will be paying some money to Word for those songs that they use.

As for the cover, I got that from EMI Christian's website.

This is the early years photo

That's basically the same cover. No offense, but I don't really care for it either.
