Just the nomination alone is a slap not just to CCM but all the people that have come here to down the band. But as even I see, Petra's up for a grammy and still dumb people are making their excuses for why petra should fail...........lol :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Man, Hall of Fame, 4 grammy's and a whole lot of doves, on top of being nominated for an album that everbody thought would flop........hmmmmmmmmm.

I'm disappointed in the partisan response that this news is provoking.

If we're going to have an opinion on who deserves to win, we should take this news as our prompt to go out and find out who these artists are. I'm falling in love with RR&tFB, and I didn't even own the cd until the day I found out they were nominated.

I still don't own a single Relient K, Audio Adrenaline, or Fresh IE (or whatever) album, but you'll notice I haven't expressed an opinion about who should win, either.

So I'm better than all of you. So there.

Hey Spot

I didn't mean to sound one way on this. Everyone that is nominated this year deserves their shot, I agree with you. But I just think that should PETRA win, it's gonna be a saying something bold against all of those Radio stations and other people that said they are past their prime.

Petra just keeps defying gravity. Hey that's gonna be the title of their next album.....watch PETRA - Defying Gravity.....yeah, that would be cool.

Don't sweat it, Bakes. I wasn't thinking of you.

But if you check out a bunch of message boards, you'll see the same thing everywhere: people running down the opposition in favor of their own favorite artist.

I've been following the discussion at inpop.com, the Christian Metal Realm, KROSS Talk, Inpoop.com, here, etc...and I've just been disappointed.
