That's fantastic... if we can get a few more rock reporting stations to add the song - that will drive it up the charts and THAT's what John needs. Thanks for calling, Exe!

I like the cover art too! I was afraid he was going to use the pic Sue has as her avatar. It is so retouched he looks like Carrie Underwood. The gold record and title font look a lot more like a fighter (for a greater cause).

That is one of the funniest things that I have ever read! Thanks, I needed that laugh!

Carrie has a much nicer body though. There isn't enough photo shop skill
on the planet to make her look like john.

Re: "The Greater Cause" - John's New CD
I listen to Firexcape in Greenville, SC on the way to church sometimes. It's not just an online station. They play live over the air on Sunday mornings on 93.3 FM locally. That station is a secular station that normally plays secular 90s and new rock http://www.newrock933.com. Based on the web site, a local church runs the Firexcape show and has basically bought the air time on that station that it airs. I didn't know that they had anything to do with it. That local church's pastors are a man and wife who call themselves Apostle this and Apostle that, so that church is viewed as off-limits since they claim to be "Apostles". Every time I turn it on they are usually playing the stuff that is a little out there but popular somehow. Every now and then they will play normal songs if they are popular enough. I put in a request for the HTSW song online with my local address and will see if it gets added/played. It can't hurt that I live in their listening area.

Re: "The Greater Cause" - John's New CD
thanks for the info, Pmal! and thanks even more for the request in to them. Appreciate it.
About the photo: this photo was photoshopped because it was a little BLURRY, not because John wanted to look young. His face wasn't re-touched at all - just the sharpness of it. I have the original - it was part of a bigger band shot, and he looked this way on the shot w/o any doctoring at all.

Well, even if John did have a thigh high stiletto heeled boots and a revealing dress with a plunging neckline (and no bra), I think I could pick him out easily on stage. He throws his left hand up in the air and his pinkie finger is spread farther apart than the other fingers. She hold her left hand up with her palm facing forward, and she does the little finger twitch while hold the mic with the other hand. John also does not high step in the boots like she does.

And neither would I. What I meant is that photo is rather effeminate-looking and from a quick look, I could see Carrie Underwood in the eyes and smile. I do not think it is a very flattering pic of John. It looks really phony compared to the video on his website where he is asking for help contacting radio stations. That's all.executioner wrote:Well I for one will never mistake John for Carrie Underwood.

Re: "The Greater Cause" - John's New CD
So, well, kind of a funny story about Firexscape (FXRadio). I requested John's new song but they didn't play it. Don't know if they just chose not to do so or if it was already too late to get John's song into the broadcast for the week. But, when I listened to the show's archived recording on their web site, they did play Classic Petra's Grave Robber (BTTR Album Version), which was really cool though. Not helping HTSW any but I thought that was funny. You can listen to it on their web site as it was at the beginning of part 4 if you want to hear a show of all new rock.

I'm very excited, I love the MP3 version that we all got, but I am so stoked about getting the physical CD.

Re: "The Greater Cause" - John's New CD
So the two autographed pre-release CDs for $30+ backers are nothing more than two exact same copies of the retail CD, received before it's officially released? No special pre-release packaging?
