Petra Easter Songs

While many agree that it would be cool if Petra did an Easter album, what songs that they have already done could be composed into an Easter Album? Would there be enough? I can think of a couple right off the top of my head, but I'm curious if everyone else thinks of the same ones or if others would be brought up. What do you think?

He Came, He Saw, He Conquered game to mind first for me too. Now I'm totally drawing blanks for any more...Maybe Petra could cover Secret Ambition by MWS to add to the Easter concept?

Judas' Kiss, obviously! (For Good Friday.) Personally, I would love to see a "rock opera" done of the life of Jesus with Petra songs, starting with Mary's Song, then you could add Judas' Kiss, It is Finished, etc., obviously you'd need a lot more though.

I think using Good Friday oriented songs works just fine. I mean really anything about Holy week. So we have He Came, He Saw, He Conquered, It is Finished, Grave Robber, Judas Kiss and Creed, which would probably be a good last song in my mind. Another song that might fit the bill would be If I Had to Die for Someone. That gives us six. Can we come up with a few more?

No need to come up with more. We already have 6 and Petra can write 4 more new songs :P I've always felt that Petra had a huge role in making praise music more popular with their dedicated Petr Praise album. Perhaps the Easter concept album will be the next trend?

Yes!! My local Assembly of God church used "All Over Me" in an Easter play they did... During the part where Judas was being tormented by demons. So great.

For some reason, I always think of "The Coloring Song". We did it once in an Easter Cantata in a Methodist Church I was once in. It seemed to fit in with the other music.

I also think "Graverobber" would be appropriate. After all, isn't the message of Easter that Death must die?

"Rose Of Sharon" would also be really good for Easter. "The Rose of Sharon/Wore a crown of thorns that day/ The Carpenter had a nail run through his hand/ The Master of The Earth Became a servant of no worth/ And gave a King's Ransom for my soul."
