Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I just saw this for the first time and two things made me laugh. #1. John Schlitt in 70's clothes is both hilarious and awesome at the same time. #2. Drummer Steve Huston's shirt in the last clip, hilarious considering John would be playing with Louie about 8 years later.

that was HOT STUFF in the '70s. Guys as well as chicks danced / dressed like that. I know... I was one of them! And personally: I still like the look. Sure beats having your pants dragging on the ground and underwear sticking out!

I am amazed about how great my Head East Live! CD sounds. It's one of the best concert CDs I have. John sounds incredible and it gives me an Idea of how a Petra Live CD with John would have sounded if done on their heyday. John even does all the same moves he still does today on that footage from Head East that was posted on youtube.

Also, have you guys ever noticed how much the song "Elijah" sounds like it could have come out of This Means War? It even has spiritual lyrics, similar to "Keneniah". Mere coincidence, or a sign of God's plan for John, 10 years before he joined Petra. Weird, isn't it?

There are some live clips of the "dream team" floating around the internet, and, yeah, John Schlitt sounds great.

Here's a few good ones:
