I just received the CD. Credits says that the songs have been mastered by Vinnie Alibrandi, same guy who remastered the More Power To Ya and This Means War! anniversary editions. Those two were digitally remastered, but that's not mentioned here.

...as if digital is some standard of quality. Most times it isn't.

Re-mastered...laughable. All they can do is re-EQ and compress compressed copies of copies that have already been EQ'd and compressed for specific mediums. The last time I spoke to the head of EMI (Mr. Greene) about the actual assets, he said they were a mess. They have the copies of the pressing masters but nothing earlier. That means, the studios (which no longer exist) have them. Whomever dinks with those copies now, is suffering through all of the previous guys work, using outdated (read that as horrid, crappy) digital gear and processes from the 90s.

Get ready for even less dynamic range and more distortion.

PASS! I would rather send Bob and John $5 each than pay for more of the same old same old.
