What compelled you to create this poll? Has jmslick done something to make you doubt his authenticity?

Here's another poll.
Select all which you believe to be true. Post your answers on this thread.
Your mileage may vary.

This guy posting as Slick:
01) Is authentic.
02) Has a vivid imagination.
03) Probably helped load the truck.
04) Has no need to prove anything to anyone.
05) Presents his posts with undeniable authenticity.
06) Knows a lot of obscure esoteric details about early Petra.
07) Might be induced to start a separate thread with more stories.
08) Could have unique authentic Petra memorabilia, proving nothing.
09) Might be some other former Petra band member, posing as Slick.
10) Writes fairly and positively about the band efforts and other members.
11) Probably has more stories to tell, but if we run him off, we'll never know.
12) Seems to have keen insight into musical topics related to Petra recordings.

Well, if you are John Slick, you're probably amused by this poll. And if you're not John Slick, you're probably amused by this poll. So... you're welcome.

Here's an idea to settle the debate: post a picture of yourself holding said memorabilia.

We don't need you to prove yourself John, especially to someone calling themselves BORAY.

Voting for 100% yes.

I was having this email conversation with John Slick years ago (perhaps about 10 years) that was supposed to become a published interview on one of the Petra sites, but it never materialized. Some of the stuff that jmslick has posted is very similar to what I talked about with him back then.

Besides, I've never heard anyone go into so much detail about how the songs were structured and why certain musical elements were used.

Jmslick, please continue posting and responding. Your presence and openness is much appreciated.

When I got the email to approve the account, I knew it was John.

I don't recall an email conversation, but I don't doubt it either.

I found an eight-page document I'd written in 2014 for this Petra "wiki": http://petra.wikia.com/wiki/Petra_Wiki#
Maybe the wiki owner thought me to be an impostor, so decided to not post my information. 8)
Or, maybe I forgot to send the document.

Would memorabilia from eBay be acceptable?

You mean, memorabilia like stuff from eBay?
Ha! Good point! Still it would be neat to see memorabilia only a former Petra member would have.

John, we are extremely privileged to have you here. Please don't take it personal. I myself asked on a post "Is this the John Slick", because I thought you were very distant from your Petra past as I have read here in the Zone over the years. But the detail of your knowledge of the Band is obviously genuine. I even saw last night a post from you in YouTube on the WHWCDN live clip from 1982 were you give details about driving to that gig with Servant. We really appreciate you here. Thanks for being here with us, and keep the details coming.

This guy knows to much about several things to not be "the real Slick"; If he wasn't him before, then he should be now. :)

I do wonder what he looks like though...

P.S. I voted for "Definitely"
