As a huge GXV fan, I must say that his performance was painful to watch.

At least there was no mention of REO Speedwagon. :). I'm not a fan of selling accomplishments or sins to substantiate or elevate your "word". We are all equally lost and in need of freedom in God's eyes. We are all equally responsible for the crucifixion. I don't have a spectacular testimony. But it is equally valuable.

Being in a band of any sort is no qualification for the Shepard of a flock to relinquish the pulpit. There is a lack of direction and depth. He should just sing.

I completely agree. It is painful to watch. I started thinking about myself when I was 10 years old listening to Petra records holding a pencil in my hand (my microphone) pretending I was the lead singer of Petra.

I must say I agree as well. I suppose his voice hasn't age that well

I find Greg's song list rather odd. He's got random cuts from his relatively obscure solo discography that only diehard fans would be able to sing along to and yet nothing from CPR's album?

As Rich Mullins once said, Christian concerts are for entertainment, and church is for ministry,

I too was surprised Brent that he never mentioned Reo Speedwagon. I feel like Greg exaggerates/ makes up stuff to give himself some street credit, I don't think the audience/church really cares. I like the Petra songs, the solo stuff is just silly.

Greg's back at it again with new solo material. "Something's Goin' On" sounds like a leftover from his 1991 album, The Exodus. Lyrically, there's not much there, and based on the video promo below, I don't think anyone's more excited about this new song than GXV. What are your thoughts?
