The Petra Zone

You guys might get a chuckle out of this...For the life of me I can't remember what started it all, but my husband and his brother were watching something on tv and someone said a phrase that was the title of one of Petra's songs. I don't remember what song it was either. Me being a Pethead had to speak up. My husband joking with me and smiling at the same time says,

"If you don't stop quoting Petra every time I turn around, this will mean war."

I pipe back with a shrug, "It's all about who you know. It's life as I know it." (Making it sound like Petra is the only life I know. )

My husband says, "Hey, you're gonna be one of the homeless few" (joking of course)

Then, my brother in law, not missing a beat says, "Hey, she'll be back to the street."

My husband comes back with something like, "Watch it, or we'll be shakin' the house".

This put me into such a fit of laughter my mind went blank and I had nothing to come back with. Ok, ok, maybe it's not that big of a deal. I guess you had to have been there, but it was funny.

ya know jenny, this proves that deep inside your family are petheads too even if they deny it if they could memoryze petra song titles is because they care enough hehehehe.

We also can see that you have done a very good job HEHEHEHE.

Thanks Elo and Shell. Yeah, my husband, my brother in law and I are all Petra fans. My husband actually goes back to when Greg X. was part of Petra. For him Greg was Petra. He had a hard time accepting when John came into the band, but he's learned to like him. He said he eventually realized that Greg was then, John is now and is just as pleased with John's singing as he was with Greg's. Like he says, "Band members come and go." But, that's another topic. I don't want to start a war of Greg vs. John.

My brother in law's not as big on Petra as my husband and I. I think I am more into the band than the 2 of them put together. LOL!

What's just as bad is when you're sitting in church and hear a message from the Gospel or O.T., and a Petra song comes to mind.
Then the tune starts running through your head.

How many of us have done that??!!!
