Hello!

Post by Boray » Tue Oct 30, 2007 11:32 am

Hello there!

My name is Anders and I'm from Sweden. I've been a big Petra fan ever since I first heard Beat the system in 1985. Since then I have collected all albums (except for spannish albums and collections) plus most of the solo albums. I'm also a big fan of Kerry Livgren. In the 90's I listened to both Petra and Kerry Livgren's christian group AD without knowing about the link between the two. (John Elefante was a singer in Kerry's group Kansas, and John&Dino wrote some of Kansas' songs during this short period). I am also into music myself. You are welcome to take a listen if you like: http://listen.to/boray

I'm active on some other forums on the net. Mostly about ancient computers and music recording... And now I'm here too! ;)

/Anders

Thanks! Boray means "create" in hebrew. I had no idea when I made up the name 14 years old... Ten years later, I searched the web for it and found a page with jewish prayers with the word boray in there. I wrote to the webmaster and asked what it meant... "Created" he said.... But later I've learned that it means just "create"... I like the meaning either way ;)

I have a pretty interesting list of the connections between Petra and Kansas to post on my Web site sometime. There's a lot more than just that one you mentioned! I'll have to set that up really soon and let you see it. I'll post here on the Zone when I get it up there.

That's great Michael! I've been on your site before. ;) I don't remeber where I've read this but I remember reading somewhere that the stage set for the Not of this world tour was a gift from Kansas. They had been using it for their shows.

Welcome to the Zone, Anders. Your music sounds good. I've been a Petra fan for quite a long time and I love Kansas.

Have fun posting here. We're quite a group. :D :)
