Good taste Elo. As many times as I've heard "Open Arms" and "Who's Crying Now" and I still melt. :P

Honestly, I'm not just saying this... but I have to agree, 80s rock is the best rock. The 90's were good years too, but geez... what a decade the 80's was! These were awesome years for Christian rock as well, as this was Petra's prime! I remember well.

Yeah, Stevie Nicks is a good one. How about Chrissie Hynde or Grace Slick? :D

Isn't Stevie Nicks a practicing witch or something? I mean, don't take the song titles from Beat the System quite THAT literally!!!

I remember reading something about that years ago; but all the people in Fleetwood Mac were messed up. :P

I don't know much about Stevie Nicks, but I was trying to come up with an 80s rock female, and she was the first one that came to mind. I figured she wasn't a Christian, but I just thought it would be funny.

Replacement Options

Well, Bob Dylan supposedly became a Christian in the late 70s or so. How about him as a new lead singer? Can you hear him singing the old version of God Gave Rock and Roll to You? How about This Means War!? What do you think?

I pity the poor soul who really thinks the 80s is a great decade for rock. What a shame. That must mean you haven't heard the stuff from the end of the 60s or early 70s. I'm sorry.

Hehe. The only problem with that is Bob Dylan has a horrible voice. :P They have to be able to sing.

I do like stuff from the 60s and 70s too, LOL. I love the Beatles, Kinks and Peter, Paul and Mary.

My pick is Steve Taylor or Eric Champion.......heck how about Chris Christian he's just sitting behind the scenes right now anyway. I know Russ Taff he's got a raspy Rock voice.......but he's gone more for the country style, but he can still lick a Rock tune like it's nothing.

Russ did just quit the Gaither Vocal Band not too long ago, so maybe he's available!

I'll second Russ Taff. Although he wont probably pull in anymore of the younger crowd.
