Sweet/Lynch music sounds like Stryper

Michael Sweet and George Lynch's new project sounds like Stryper to me. Same melody on this chorus as a Stryper tune anyway. Well, maybe it sounds like a Michael Sweet record, which is what Stryper sounds like. Whatever the case, you can tell who is putting pen to paper in both bands.

I wanna say that it sounds more like Stryper than the new Stryper album. Rock That Makes Me Roll meets Caught In the Middle. And dare I say, it sounds better also.

What is known about the other players, besides the bands they played with? Are they Christians?
Looks like Michael has found open doors through Frontiers Records to do all sorts of projects, and make some coin along the way. Take it while you can get it.

Uh...no. None of the other guys are Christians publically.

There are a couple of interviews out with George saying it is his project and Mike is just the singer. On the video link below, he says it's Micheal's record. George is a professing atheist. He said that he respects Mike and his opinions about God. He didn't seem to worry about Mike coming out in the vocals because he would be coming out of the guitar.

He hits on the subject at 2:25

Just a guy on the side lines, waiting for the final record.

There's some good stuff there. Great production. The whole thing sounds really good, and clean. I don't understand why this project, and other stuff Michael does, sounds so good (or really sounds right), yet the new Stryper stuff sounds wrong. Wrong as in a production issue, and perhaps in some areas not the best mix you could get.
